Chevron aims to develop Big Foot with an integrated tension-leg platform, including production and drilling facilities. KBR's workscope includes the FEED covering the 20,000-tonne production deck rated to produce 65,000 barrels of oil per day.
The outfit is understood to have bested rivals Alliance Engineering, which handled the pre-FEED phase for the Big Foot topsides, McDermott Engineering, Mustang Engineering and WorleyParsons.
