Calgary-based Pieridae Energy is to finalise terms of a fixed-price contract with KBR for the US contractor to construct its US$10 billion, 10 million tonnes per annum Goldboro grassroots liquefied natural gas project on Canada’s east coast, writes Amanda Battersby.

The progress comes after Pieridae closed the C$190 million (US$144.6 million) acquisition of Shell’s upstream and midstream assets in the southern Alberta foothills, which secures a significant chunk of the required feedstock gas.
