JOINT operators Husky Energy and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) have a number of hungry contractors to choose from in the contest to provide a leased floating production unit for the Madura MDA-MBH gas and condensate project off Indonesia.
Given the scarcity of work opportunities for offshore contractors in Indonesia, many have formed bidding consortia for the technical submission in late August as part of a re-tender process following an Indonesian directive on local content requirements.
