Construction of the main pipeline linking gas reserves in Australia’s Northern Territory to the country’s east coast gas market has been completed, writes Josh Lewis.

Australia's Jemena completed the 622-kilometre Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) last week, with roughly 34,000 lengths of pipe welded and fully buried in the trench.

Jemena said that construction of the compressor station at Mount Isa in Queensland had also been completed, with completion of the compressor station at Phillip Creek in Northern Territory expected soon.
