ABU DHABI National Oil Company is preparing to issue tender invitations to turnkey contractors for full development of its $1 billion Khuff gas recovery project in the Arabian Gulf. The work includes fabrication of a pair of offshore platforms, extensive offshore and onshore pipelines and a gas processing plant with a dehydration and sweetening facility onshore. Khuff, due to come on line in 2001, will supply 540 million cubic feet per day of dry gas for industrial use in Dubai following the recent signing of the gas sales contract between the two Emirates.
