The proposed Kitimat LNG ­terminal ­received final regulatory approval from the National ­Energy Board of Canada to export gas to Asian markets.

The KM LNG partnership, a joint venture between Apache Canada, Encana, and EOG ­Resources, has been granted a ­20-year export licence to transport LNG from the Port of Kitimat along British Columbia’s west coast to international markets.

The licence was granted last week, less than a year after the partnership filed an application for a federal export licence in ­December 2010.

“The
