The proposed Kitimat LNG terminal received final regulatory approval from the National Energy Board of Canada to export gas to Asian markets.
The KM LNG partnership, a joint venture between Apache Canada, Encana, and EOG Resources, has been granted a 20-year export licence to transport LNG from the Port of Kitimat along British Columbia’s west coast to international markets.
The licence was granted last week, less than a year after the partnership filed an application for a federal export licence in December 2010.
