The Chevron-operated Kitimat LNG project in British Columbia, Canada is now envisaged as a phased 18 million tonnes per annum scheme, up from the 10 million tpa originally touted.

The Kitimat co-venturers aim to decide by the end of 2020 whether to enter into the front-end and engineering phase of this grassroots liquefaction project, which would initially come into operation with two trains of 12 million tpa combined capacity.
