US independent Sanchez Energy, which purchased Anadarko’s position in the Eagle Ford for $2.3 billion earlier this year, said the South Korean company had declined to exercise its tag along right to sell its interests in the joint venture.
The Anadarko asset package acquired by Sanchez - and renamed Comanche by the company- included 155,000 net acres in Dimmit and Webb counties and current production of 67,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (70% liquids).
