LEO Koot, the newly-appointed executive chairman of LGO Energy, which has now been re-named Columbus Energy Resources, once wanted to become a doctor.
Born in a small town in the middle of the Netherlands, Koot applied to go to medical school. He was put on a waiting list, and to fill the time he started studying petroleum engineering at Delft University, taking his first step into the industry that would become his life.
