French operator Perenco has started production via a floater at its Kribi liquefied natural gas development off Cameroon.
The privately-held player is still in the process of final commissioning of the Hilli Episeyo floating LNG unit, which is expected to be completed in late March, with acceptance testing to be done by mid-April.
Vessel owner Golar LNG said this week initial output had been achieved from the unit that arrived in Cameroon in late November, with commissioning starting in late December.
