Singapore-based independent KrisEnergy is trimming costs at its landmark Apsara oil project off Cambodia as it prepares to invite contractors to bid for production facilities.

The development plan for the initial phase of the project involves three main facilities - a wellhead platform, a floating production barge and a floating storage and offloading vessel.

The 24-slot wellhead platform will be contracted out on an engineering, procurement, construction and installation basis, while the FSO will be awarded on a lease basis, whereby KrisEnergy will pay the FSO owner a dayrate.
