Sources said at least six companies had submitted technical and commercial offers for this engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract.

They are L&T, South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries, Singapore's SMOE, Malaysians Sime Darby and Kencana, and Japanese company Nippon Steel's Thailand subsidiary.
