Chief executive Nigel McCue is looking to enter into new markets such as Mexico as the company seeks to grab a larger slice of the newbuild market.
The MIS takeover has helped transform Lamprell, giving it additional quayside space of 174,000 square metres and a 400-metre load-out jetty for sea access, increasing its rig-building capabilities.
“MIS, having built seven newbuild jack-up rigs (of which 6 were delivered), has gained valuable expertise in this business specifically with the Friede & Goldman designs,” says McCue.
