UK player Hurricane Energy hopes to avoid a delay to first oil at its Lancaster early production system (EPS) development in the North Sea after a problem arose during hook-up operations, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.
Attempts to hook up the Aoka Mizu floating production, storage and offloading system to the buoy on the field in the West of Shetland area off the UK were thwarted on 18 January when the rope being used to pull the buoy became snagged.
