Hurricane Energy has produced first oil from an early production system at its Lancaster field in the West of Shetland region off the UK.
It follows a successful 72-hour production test on the Aoka Mizu floating production, storage and offloading vessel that flowed at 20,000 barrels per day of oil from the two wells at the field, in line with the planned output rate.
