Iran said this week it has unearthed a new gas field in the south of the country that could hold up to 19 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
The state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said the Eram field was discovered in the south of Fars province “after years of serious endeavors by Iranian experts”.
Of the estimated 19 Tcf total, some 13 Tcf is believed to be recoverable.
