A massive power blackout earlier this week shut activities at Venezuela’s main oil export port operated by state-run company PDVSA.
According to a Reuters report, the Port of Jose and four other crude upgraders were unable to resume operations after the power outage on 25 March, and remained paralysed as Upstream went to press.
The most recent oil shipment for export on the carrier Dragon, chartered by Russia’s Rosneft, left the port on 24 March.
