Centre-left candidate Alberto Fernandez won a decisive victory in Argentina’s elections this week as voters rejected another term of conservative rule by former Buenos Aires governor Mauricio Macri, who had emphasised market-driven policies that helped spur growth of the country’s emerging shale sector.
