Madagascar’s newly elected government has suspended its 44-block offshore licensing round in the Morondava basin.
The round, unveiled in November, was due to be run by state hydrocarbons agency OMNIS in partnership with seismic player TGS and China National Petroleum Corporation subsidiary BGP.
However, officials have said that roadshows planned for Houston this week and London next week will still go ahead.
