Shell and its two large joint venture partners are examining a range of development concepts for the proposed Limbayong deep-water oil and gas project in the Sabah play in eastern Malaysia.

The Limbayong field is located in about 1000 metres of water in Block G, which also contains the producing Malikai oilfield, and the Pisagan discovery.

Well-placed sources said the tie-back options that are being considered for Limbayong are to existing offshore production facilities at the nearby Gumusut and Kikeh fields.
