The island nation of Singapore is home to around 5.5 million people, including about 3.9 million Singaporeans and permanent residents of various ethnicities and races, and around 1.6 million foreigners who help to make the country the economic powerhouse that it is today.
One observer says that one of Singapore’s greatest achievements could be that it has created an environment that allows both its citizens and foreigners to realise their dreams.
