Earlier this year, the company drilled the Son of Bluto-2 well in Block 431 and hit an oil-bearing zone and a separate natural gas-bearing zone. Pay thickness was not revealed.
The probe was drilled to a total depth of 18,500 feet in about 6430 feet of water using the Noble Drilling semi-submersible Amos Runner. The well was suspended pending completion.
The rig later spudded the Marmalard prospect in Block 300 and struck two oil-bearing zones.
