LLOG Exploration is selling stakes of up to 50% in a range of potential Gulf of Mexico drilling prospects, including some novel targets and tieback opportunities.
Mothball Deep, on Mississippi Canyon Block 801, is the largest on offer, with an estimated mean probable resource of 200 million barrels of oil equivalent and potential as a “hub class” development.
An exploration plan was approved last year for the well, which lies north-west of Shell’s Vito discovery and will test “Middle and Lower Miocene sands that are productive at (the) Vito, Tubular Bells, Kodiak, Gunflint, Telemark and Power Nap fields”.
