London Marine Consultants (LMC) has been awarded a US$19 million contract to retrofit a turret mooring system on the floating production, storage and offloading vessel bound for the Layang field off Malaysia, writes Russell Searancke.
The contract was awarded by the main FPSO supplier Yinson Holdings, which has just agreed terms on the novation of the floater contract with Layang operator JX Nippon and the original FPSO contractor TH Heavy Engineering.
