Liquefied natural gas trade in 2015 totalled a record 244.8 million tonnes, an increase of 4.7 million tonnes over the previous year, and beating even the 2011 previous high of 241.5 million tonnes, according to the International Gas Union (IGU).
However, this increased trade was coupled with the low crude price and growing weakness in Pacific demand that saw global LNG prices fall from an average US$15.6
