Norwegian Oil & Gas, which represents the country’s petroleum industry, gathered representatives from most of the political parties at its annual congress on 28 February to hear their views on the industry and, in particular, the Lofoten issue.
“We believe there should be an impact assessment, that is an important issue for us,” said Conservative party leader Erna Solberg, who may become prime minister in September if current polls are a reliable indication.
