The foreign operations division of Lukoil made the find at its Cape Three Points Deep licence off Ghana, Reuters reported .
The news wire quoted Ghanaian Energy Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah as saying: “Lukoil has come to report a discovery and under the petroleum agreement they have 90 days to do an appraisal to determine whether it is commercial”.
The discovery was reportedly made in multiple zones, with “high showings” of hydrocarbons.
