Lukoil is moving closer to development of its Eridu oil discovery onshore southern Iraq after notching up strong flow rates from an appraisal well.
The latest probe — the fifth to be drilled in an ongoing appraisal effort — flowed at more than 1500 cubic metres, or around 9400 barrels, from the Mishrif formation in a well test at the field in Lukoil-operated Block 10.
