DANISH rig contractor Maersk Drilling has been given the nod by the Petroleum Safety Authority for its giant newbuild jack-up Maersk Invincible to work off Norway.
The PSA confirmed the rig meets technical requirements and the owner's organisation and management systems conform to Norway’s stringent regulatory regime.
The rig will start work this quarter with Aker BP on well plugging and abandonment at the Valhall field in the Norwegian North Sea.
