Located in 49 metres of water about 24 kilometres offshore, Mafumeira Norte was discovered in 1998 and is being exploited through a fixed platform.
This represents the first phase of development of the Mafumeira field, which lies in Area A of Block 0.
The project is being produced through 14 wells tied back ?25 kilometres to Chevron's Kungulo water injection platform that came on line in 1999.
