Swedish-owned independent Maha Energy plans to upgrade facilities and invest in exploration activities on its acreage in Brazil as it looks to multiply output fourfold by the end of the decade, writes Fabio Palmigiani.

Maha is currently producing about 1270 barrels per day of oil from the onshore Tie field in the mature Reconcavo basin, but volumes have been constrained due to flaring limitations and the capacity of the receiving tanks.
