Things may be getting better for LGBTQ workers in the US oil and gas industry, according to the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index.
The annual index evaluates companies across the US based on criteria such as sexual orientation and gender identity worker protections, equal benefits for health insurance coverage, and organisational competency in LGBTQ inclusion.
This year, 571 companies received perfect scores from the HRC, which is the US' largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organisation.
