UK SUPERMAJOR BP and Norwegian player Statoil this week announced plans to remove almost all of their staff from Algeria following a rocket attack on the In Salah gas plant in the country’s southern desert.
The pull-out is a precautionary measure taken after the 18 March incident, in which nobody was injured.
The attack came just over three years after dozens of workers and militants died in a terrorist assault on the partners’ In Amenas gas complex in the region.
