The project is set to involve five subsea wells tied back to the nearby Tombua-Landana compliant tower.
The project also calls for two four-slot manifolds and 30 kilometres of eight-inch and 12-inch pipe-in-pipe flowlines. Malange, which holds 40 degrees API crude, was discovered in 2007 and appraised three years later.
GE Vetco is expected to be a competitor to supply the project’s subsea production system, with Subsea 7 angling for the umbilical, riser and flowline package.
