Malaysia is offering six offshore exploration blocks under its 2019 bidding round, which is being undertaken by national oil and gas company Petronas, writes Amanda Battersby.

Up for grabs are two blocks in the Penyu basin off Peninsular Malaysia and four in the North-west Sabah basin in Sabah, East Malaysia.

All of the blocks are shallow-water assets according to Zebra Data Sciences, which is assisting Petronas’ Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) with the provision of virtual and workstation data rooms and marketing services.
