Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell has completed the $750 million sale of its 15% stake in Malaysia LNG Tiga to the Sarawak State Financial Secretary (SFS).
The deal boosts to 25% SFS’ stake in the 7.7 million tonnes per annum production capacity MLNG Tiga plant that forms part of the Petronas liquefied natural gas Complex at Bintulu, Sarawak.
The other partners in the two-train MLNG Tiga liquefaction facility, which shipped its first cargo in March 2003, are operator Petronas with 60%, Nippon on 10% and Diamond Gas with 5%.
