Operators in Malaysia have followed Petronas Carigali’s lead and cancelled their contracts with Boustead subsidiary MHS Aviation for the charter of EC225 helicopters because of safety concerns.
ExxonMobil, Sapura Energy and EQ Petroleum, which partner national upstream company Petronas Carigali on fields offshore Malaysia, have now also pulled the plug on such helicopter charters.
The trio of partners has served MHS Aviation with 90-day notices of termination to cancel their contract dated 29 June, 2011.
