Mozambique’s government is considering a proposal from INP, the country’s oil and gas regulator, to hold a sixth licensing round, but a final decision has yet to be made, writes Iain Esau.
“We still don’t know what the feedback is from the government,” INP project manager Jose Branquinho said last week at an Appex event in London.
Nevertheless, he said the INP aims to start an acreage nomination process in the second quarter of this year.
