Despite first appearances, Stephen Mason, the Canadian president and chief executive of Artumas Group, insists there is nothing glamourous about his life.
"I work 18-hour days, move from hotel to hotel and last year took almost as many flights as there were days in the year," he says.
That said, Mason, 53, is proud of his Calgary-based company's achievements in southern Tanzania, and 10 years of dogged determination to realise his vision of gas-fuelled expansion in the impoverished Mtwara region are now bearing fruit.
