A medical examiner has ruled the death of Aubrey McClendon was an accident shortly after police said they found no evidence the shale pioneer planned to commit suicide on the day he died in a single-car crash in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office found McClendon died of “multiple blunt force traumas” and categorised the death as an “accident” following an autopsy.
