A partnership between McDermott and Baker Hughes GE has confirmed winning a large subsea contract for the phase two offshore expansion of the Ichthys liquefied natural gas project in Australia.
The award follows a front-end engineering and design competition between three contractor groups and engineering, procurement, construction, installation bids submitted by the trio.
The workscope includes subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines, and a subsea production system.
