McDermott International of the US is seen in pole position to pick up contracts for the fabrication and integration of some of the modules for the floating, production, storage and offloading unit for Eni’s Area 1 development off Mexico, write Kathrine Schmidt and Xu Yihe.
The workscope may cover three or four of the modules for the project at the company’s yard in Altamira, Mexico, though final details are still being worked out, Upstream understands.
