US-based conservation group Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is expected soon to award a final design and manufacturing contract for the MethaneSAT, a small satellite specifically designed to produce high-resolution images of methane emissions and make the information available to the public, writes Russell McCulley.
An EDF spokesperson tells Upstream that a contract is likely to be announced in May and that the project is “on track for a landing and moving onward to next steps”.
