The Mexican state company is looking to boost its onshore rig count from about 200 to 230 this year, primarily through leasing, but it is also buying new rigs to high-grade its onshore fleet, exploration and production director Carlos Morales Gil said on the sidelines of an industry event in Houston.
“We have a mixed strategy,” he said. “We own around 120 rigs.
