Mexico's incoming energy secretary Rocio Nahle signalled this week that the country's new government will not hold oil and gas bid rounds planned for February and will suspend new acreage offerings until 2021 to evaluate the results from areas awarded so far.
The goal is to assess the results of the more than 100 exploration and production contracts already awarded before granting any further acreage, Nahle told the Sol de Mexico newspaper.
