Just last week Dockwise received a report indicating the bow was now above the ocean's surface and the stern would soon follow.
The vessel sank last December in about 55 metres of water after offloading GlobalSantaFe's semi-submersible drilling rig GSF Aleutian Key. A cause has not been determined.
Dockwise plans to have the vessel dry-docked in a South African port in order to inspect the hull for damage.
