The Mildred Lake upgrader in Alberta's oil sands is expected to return to full production in July, a month after it was originally expected to ramp up.
Following a March fire, shipments have been cut to about 130,000 barrels per day, versus its 350,000 bpd capacity. Operator Suncor predicts no change in production guidance for 2017.
Suncor said that repairs were progressing as planned but crews were getting a jump start on maintenance originally scheduled for later this year, delaying the return to full rates.
