NIGERIAN militants have resumed attacks on oil infrastructure in the Niger Delta.

They are citing intransigence on the part of President Muhammadu Buhari and his unwillingness to enter into dialogue with their representatives on oil patch concerns.

Militia loyal to Government Ekpemupolo — alias Tompolo, the former Western Divisional Commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend) — attacked oil production facilities at Makaraba, Otunana, Dibi and Odidi, plus gas pipelines linking Saghara, Olero, Escravos and Egwa-11 last weekend, forcing Chevron to suspend operations.
