Skogen will retain chairmanship of AGR Energy, which partners Minexco in the Gibraltar-registered AGM consortium, which he also chairs.
Minexco is the dominant partner in AGM, which operates the South Deepwater Tano block off Ghana.
A Minexco subsidiary also operates Block 7A-10 in Sierra Leone, where it is seeking additional acreage in the West African Transform Margin from Mauritania to Angola.
Ghana’s South Deepwater Tano block lies partially in an area contested by the Ivory Coast, and both states hope to reach a settlement later this year to enable exploration and production to proceed.
