MARI Alkatiri has been sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Timor-Leste and will lead a new minority government.
The national elections were held in late July, but there was a long delay in finalising the winner of the election due to the close polling result and a series of domestic issues including the maritime boundary with Australia and negotiations over the Great Sunrise oil and gas reserve.
